About the Author
Jon P. Roth studied creative writing at Middlebury College and was a three-time manuscript contributor at the Breadloaf Writers Conference. He has had a twenty year career as a software engineer working both in large companies and numerous startups.
He spent a spring and summer as an Appalachian Trail thru-hiker, is a private pilot who flies single engine aircraft on land and water, is an avid outdoorsman, canoeist, mountain biker, motorcyclist, and loves any mode of transportation that can get him into the forest or the back country.
His current fascinations include neuroscience, human consciousness, artificial intelligence, complexity and emergence, history and perception.
Birch, Mind of the Dragonflies is his first published novel. A second novel, Avery’s Gore, is in preparation for release in 2026.
Jon lives in northern Michigan where he is at work on the sequel to Birch, Mind of the Dragonflies.
